1. Cotton
- Softness: Cotton is naturally soft, breathable, and comfortable, making it a popular choice for t-shirts. While 100% cotton is soft, it doesn't feel as soft against the skin and a Poly-blend.
- Weight: The weight of tee's can vary as dependent on the thickness of cotton used. If you see a tee that says HEAVYWEIGHT but you're going for a cooler, lightweight tee, look elsewhere.
- Quality: The quality of cotton can vary. Higher-quality cotton, like Egyptian cotton, has longer fibers, which makes the fabric smoother, softer, and more durable.
2. Polyester
- Softness: Polyester is a synthetic fiber that can feel smooth and slightly slick to the touch, but it’s generally not as soft as natural fibers like cotton.
- Quality: Polyester is durable, wrinkle-resistant, and holds color well, but it lacks the breathability of natural fibers.
- Why Softer?: Blending polyester with softer materials like cotton can result in a softer t-shirt with added durability and moisture-wicking properties.
3. Cotton-Polyester Blend
- Softness: A cotton-polyester blend combines the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester, resulting in a t-shirt that is soft, resilient, and often more affordable.
- Quality: The softness and quality can vary depending on the ratio of cotton to polyester. A higher cotton content usually means a softer feel.
4. Tri-Blend (Cotton, Polyester, and Rayon)

- Quality: This blend offers the best of all three worlds—softness from cotton, durability from polyester, and the smooth, silky feel from rayon. THAT SAID, it will be less durable than 100% cotton and cotton/poly blends

5. Bamboo

- Why Softer?: The softness comes from the fine, smooth bamboo fibers, making it a premium choice for ultra-soft t-shirts. REMEMBER- premium products have premium pricing.
6. Supima Cotton
- Softness: Supima cotton is a premium, extra-long staple cotton that is softer and stronger than regular cotton.
- Quality: Known for its superior softness, durability, and vibrant color retention, Supima cotton is one of the highest-quality cottons available.
- Why Softer?: The longer fibers of Supima cotton result in a smoother, softer fabric with less pilling over time.
6. Organic Cotton
- Softness: Organic cotton is naturally soft and gentle on the skin, free from harsh chemicals or pesticides. BUT it doesn't necessarily feel much softer against the skin as non-organic cotton.
- Quality: It’s eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, and maintains the soft, breathable qualities of regular cotton.
